This ALTAVOZ consumer privacy policy is an agreement between you and ALTAVOZ. You will signify your acceptance of this consumer privacy policy by (i) installing or using our player or plug-in (ii) purchasing rights to use our content, (iii) using our digital music delivery system, or (iv) any combination of these actions. If you do not agree to the terms of this policy, do not install or use our player, plug-in, content, or digital music delivery system. ALTAVOZ reserves the right to modify, alter or otherwise update this policy at any time. We will indicate any changes by updating the date at the top of the policy. You should review this policy from time to time. Your continued use of our player, plug-in, content, or digital music delivery system following the posting of changes to these terms will mean you accept those changes. ALTAVOZ is a trade name of Altavoz, Inc. OUR PRIVACY COMMITMENT ALTAVOZ is firmly committed to assuring strong and meaningful protection of personally identifiable information gathered through the use or purchase of our musical content and products. The goal of this policy is to address privacy concerns you may have and ensure that when you use our content or purchase our products, you understand what types of information we may obtain about you, how we use the information and whether we share any of your personally identifiable information with any third party. THE TYPES OF INFORMATION WE COLLECT We have created a secure digital music delivery system that enables you to store, organize and purchase rights to music files and related content. Our system uses digital rights management software that also enables us to protect the copyrights associated with the digital music files that you obtain rights to use. The digital rights management software is included in the player and/or plug-in that is required to play our digital music files. OUR USE OF YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION Your personal information will not be sold or rented without your consent. The personal information that Magex shares with us will be used to provide customer support to you, to ensure quality control with respect to our content files, and to ensure the integrity of our digital music delivery system. We may use this personal information to contact you if we change our services or terms or if we need to give you notice under those terms. The information about your acquisition of ALTAVOZ content and your musical preferences will be used to determine your eligibility for special promotions and generally to improve our service to you. We may also wish to send you emails (or other forms of communication) about additional products, services, events and/or other information that we believe may be of interest to you. We have authorized certain companies, which we call our "Partners," to offer ALTAVOZ song files from their websites (and through certain other channels), and these Partners may also wish to send you information about additional products and services. However, no one will send that information to you unless you (a) "opt-in" to receive it at the time you originally register for the ALTAVOZ service or (b) you subsequently notify us that you would like to receive such information. If you decide at any time in the future that you wish to begin receiving such information (if you previously opted-out) or that you wish to cease receiving such information (if you previously opted-in), you may change your preferences at any time by sending an email to privacy@altavoz.com
While, as noted above, as a general rule neither we nor our Partners disclose any personal information we collect from you without your consent, we may disclose personal information in special cases when we have reason to believe that disclosing this information is necessary to identify, contact or bring legal action against someone who may be causing injury to or interference with (either intentionally or unintentionally) our rights or property. We may disclose user information when we believe in good faith that the law requires it or we are legally ordered to do so. We will not share your personal information with third parties (including Partners) for marketing purposes without your consent. If one of our Partners referred you to us and if you opted-in to receive marketing messages during the ALTAVOZ registration process, we will share with that Partner your registration and transaction information concerning your purchase of rights in content through that Partner. That Partner will be contractually obligated to comply with this privacy policy with respect to all such information. Also, if you have opted-in to receive marketing information from us, we may include that Partner in our marketing efforts or that Partner might pursue its own marketing efforts, in each case in accordance with our privacy policy. Once again, if you decide at any time in the future that you would like us and our Partners to share your information with selected third parties (if you previously opted-out) or that you want us and our Partners to cease sharing your information with such third parties (if you previously opted-in), you may change your preferences at any time by sending an email to privacy@altavoz.com Magex may share with us and our Partners certain aggregate statistical data about the purchase and use of content through the Third Party service. This information may include demographic data such as the age range and/or geographic location of groups of users, but no personal information (such as your name or email address) will be identifiable from such statistics. We and our Partners may share this type of information with others at our discretion for marketing purposes and/or industry reporting purposes.
ALTAVOZ strictly protects the security of your personal information and your choices for its intended use. We carefully protect the information we collect from loss, misuse, unauthorized access or disclosure, alteration or destruction.
We intend to comply with all United States federal law and other applicable laws. We may submit our policy to an independent, third-party privacy organization for their review.
In order to use ALTAVOZ's digital electronic media distribution system, it will be necessary to register with a thrid party age verication In order to register you must be an adult, 18 years of age or older. Young people between the ages of 13 and 18 in a household in which an adult has registered with thrid party may use ALTAVOZ's digital electronic media distribution system with the permission of that adult. Children under the age of 13 may not use ALTAVOZ's digital electronic media distribution system at this time. Facebook Connection will be added as well as intergration with other popular socialsites.
We will endeavor to provide a way for you to correct, update, or remove the personal data we have obtained about you, if you advise us or Third Party that your information has changed. We will also endeavor to provide a way for you change your preferences regarding our use of your personal information, if you advise us or Third Party that you wish to do so. You can always contact us at privacy@altavoz.com to let us know the changes you would like us to make in our records. Please be aware that we must have certain up-to-date personal information in order to provide customer support to you, to ensure quality control with respect to our content files, and to ensure the integrity of our digital music delivery system. Therefore, if you require us or Third Party to remove your personal information from our records or suppress access to your personal information, it may be necessary for us to discontinue your access to our digital music delivery system. We will provide you with advance notice before discontinuing your access.
